Adult Education

Aikuiskoulutus

"Life is learning."
(Finnish saying)

Some education is directed especially at adults. The goal of adult education can be a degree or further degree. It can also comprise complementary education or studies just for fun. Adults can also take part in education meant for young people.

Adult education classes are often held in the evenings. It is often also possible to do remote studies over the Internet, for example.

Customers of employment offices can also do courses via the employment office. Labour market training is free of charge to the students. It is mainly vocational training, but it can also consist of Finnish studies, for example. Consult your employment office for more information.

Find information on the labour market training available.

The pages of the Finnish National Board of Education have an adult education guide that has information on adult education for immigrants.
