Savonlinna Employment and Economic Development Office/TE office (Savonlinnan työ- ja elinkeinotoimisto/TE-toimisto)
The Employment and Economic Development Office, or TE office (TE-toimisto), serves both employed and unemployed persons. The TE office gives advice on how to find work, as well as offering information on job vacancies, training, training placements, employment subsidies, professions and entrepreneurship.
Customers register as jobseekers at the TE office’s international services desk, where a plan for finding a job is drawn up together with the customer. Where necessary, the customer is given guidance on courses for studying Finnish, professional skills and preparation for working life.
Guidance intended for immigrants is provided in Finnish and English. The employment office will order an interpreter if required. For matters relating to residence permits for an employed person and for guidance on applying for a woFinnish.
