Espoo Employment and Economic Development Office

Within the Espoo Employment and Economic Development Office immigrants’ affairs are dealt with by Espoo Immigrant Services (Espoon Maahanmuuttajapalvelut). As part of the registration process the customer is guided through skills mapping, which is used as the basis for planning the job search.

Immigrant services also assist the customer in job seeking and give guidance on the relevant courses for studying Finnish, professional skills and preparation for working life. Guidance for immigrants is given in Finnish, Swedish, English, German and French. Where necessary, the Employment and Economic Development Office will arrange an interpreter, for example, in the absence of a common language for communication.
