The Selma network service has a search function for finding information (in Finnish) about educational institutions in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area that provide Finnish language teaching. The Selma course brochure (pdf) contains information in Finnish and English on the opportunities for Finnish language study in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Selma also has information in Finnish concerning Swedish language elementary courses.
Swedish language (ruotsin kieli)
The Swedish Language page explains about Finland ’s two official languages. The principle adopted by the cities is to arrange operations so that their inhabitants have access to services in their own language, whether Finnish or Swedish.
The Bridge advisory service (Bridge-neuvontapalvelu)
Bridge is a service designed for immigrants by the Finland-Swedish Information and Culture Centre, Luckan. The Bridge service offers support and hints on finding work, study places and spare-time activities. Workshops and seminars are arranged to introduce Finland-Swedish culture and provide information on Swedish language study.
