Cultural and library services
The city libraries of Helsinki , Espoo , Kauniainen and Vantaa together form the HelMet (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries) network. HelMet libraries operate a joint network service, with joint rules of use and charges.
HelMet can be used to reserve and renew books in Helsinki , Espoo , Vantaa and Kauniainen over the internet. Borrowed items may be returned either to the library from which they were borrowed, or in many cases to other libraries. Books may be renewed a maximum of three times. A fine must be paid for books returned late.

The aim of Liikkukaa! is to promote active participation, cultural diversity and equal opportunity in Finnish society through sport and recreation and other cultural activity.

The Selma website contains information on immigrant clubs and associations in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area in Finnish.
Jolly Dragon is an English-language leisure time community where you can get to know both Finns and immigrants, and find information on topical events. All are free to organise activities. The community serves to ease integration into Helsinki life. More information about Jolly Dragon in English .

Urban television in various languages (Kaupunkitelevisio eri kielillä)
M2HZ is a public access television service operating in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, broadcasting art and experimental productions, urban culture, public debate, multicultural programmes and citizen participation. City events, stories, discussion topics and rich cultural life lie at the heart of the broadcasts. The M2HZ website contains a news update in Russian, Arabic, French and Spanish.
