Maistraatti
Administrative Councils are local administrative units of the state. The Councils deal with e.g. registration matters. The Population Information Register contains basic information on all people living in Finland. You must inform the Administrative Council when you move to Finland, between different localities within Finland or away from Finland. The Administrative Councils also have various other responsibilities. The district registrar of the Administrative Court performs civil marriages. For example, all possible nuptial agreements are registered at the Administrative Council. More information on the services of the Council is available on the website of the Administrative Council.
