Where to Find Accommodation

Mistä asunto?

"Even though finding accommodation is more difficult than buying fish, it is still not impossible."
(Finnish saying)

Listings for available accommodation can usually be found e.g. in newspapers and notice boards. It is also a good idea to ask around; talk to friends, neighbours and relatives, who may know of available housing. It is important that you are active in your search for accommodation.

Banks, Insurance Companies and Foundations

Banks have vast amounts of information available on accommodation, house hunting, funding and mortgages, right-of-occupancy properties, part-ownership properties and renting. Many banks, insurance companies and foundations also own properties that they let out.

Private Rented Accommodation

Private rented accommodation can be obtained either directly from the landlord or via an estate agent. Services of estate agents are subject to a fee. Information on private rented accommodation can be found e.g. in newspapers.
