"One cannot admire the stars on a walk if there is a pebble in his shoe."
(Chinese saying)

Employers are responsible for providing occupational health care to all of their employees. The objective of occupational health care is to prevent health hazards and health risks resulting from work. Ask your employer for more information.

Entrepreneurs and other self-employed people are responsible for organising their own occupational health care.

The Kela website contains information on the Occupational Health Care Act (työterveyshuoltolaki) and occupational health care in relation to Employers and Entrepreneurs.

Kela compensates employers and entrepreneurs for some of the expenses of occupational health care if the expenses are justified and reasonable.
