The availability of subsidies is subject to regulation and the nature of the operation. What an association can apply for in terms of funding depends on its type of operation. If the association performs social work, for example, it can apply for a subsidy from the Social Services Department, and for sports activities from athletic associations or the city sports department.

The following points are important for obtaining a subsidy:

  • A high level of activity in the association
  • Minimum of one year of operations (annual report)
  • The association’s own contribution (financing)
  • The association’s auditors’ report
  • When applying for a subsidy from a city authority, the association’s operations must take place in the same city
  • The association’s registration number 
  • The project or activity requiring subsidy
  • The application must be submitted on time
  • The application form must be filled in correctly
