These websites contain information on a variety of emergency situations and where to get help. The areas covered include problems concerning the family, children and young people, health, mental health, alcohol, drug abuse, gambling addiction, debt, homelessness, racism and discrimination, violent situations,crime and death.

Various authorities and non-governmental organisations provide help in crisis situations. More information can be obtained from your local social services and health authorities.

Tukinet is a free internet-based crisis service in Finnish. 

The SOS Center, crisis services for foreigners in Helsinki offers free assistance to immigrants and their families in various languages. The centre fosters integration into Finnish society. Customers have the opportunity to explain their life circumstances in their native tongue either directly or through an interpreter, or in another commonly understood language. The aim is to provide help as quickly and flexibly as possible. Customers are not required to give their names. The service is free of charge,but you must make an appointment in advance. If customers wish they may be assigned a Finnish support person.
